As summer is coming to a close, hopefully, we will get some relief from this heat.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Gerald Morris.
Speedy recoveries to those who have had surgery or illness. Dave Smith, our wishes to a fine recovery.
To all those who are feeling “under the weather”, our thoughts and prayers are with you.
As always, if I can be of assistance, please see me at the lodge or leave a message for me.

PRELATES COLUM
Members! School is back in session so be careful driving especially in school zones!
A clam bake is on the schedule and I hope to see even more members attend than did at the Lodge picnic. At the picnic, those who attended had a good time. Remember that these events are planned for YOU and we hope to continue with YOUR support.
I want to wish Steph (night crew Steph) a very happy and wonderful wedding. When you see her here at the lodge, extend your best wishes for her future happiness.
Some of us were able to go to the conference in Independence and came back with several points of interest. They talked a lot about Safe Surfing for your children on the internet. There are many “freaks and nasties” on the internet so please be aware of what and where your children going when they are on the computer. Make sure you check to see what’s happening. Let’s keep them safe from predators.
Fraternally,
Dick Minor
ADMINISTRATOR’S NOTES
Once again Summer begins to give way to Fall. Funny how fast summers go by! If only winter was that way….
I hope you all had a chance to enjoy some time for family, friends, and good times. Come to think of it, isn’t that some of the reasons for being a member here?
Please let me or your officers know if you have any ideas for special events for the coming months that you would like to help bring about. As I said, this is your Lodge and member involvement and support is critical to ensure its continued success!!
In the recent months we have been trying to provide as many activities as possible. I want this place to be “your place”. So now is the tie to step up and be counted.
Some new faces helping with our dinners, raffles, set-ups and clean-ups every once in a while can help prevent “burn out” in those that give so much to help this Lodge...our Volunteers. Please see me if you can help out. Help us to once again make this Lodge “The Friendliest Place in Town”. A place where you meet with family and friends and the difference between the two becomes blurred!!
